The Rotary Club of Summit County presented its 12th annual barbecue event hosted by the Town of Dillon August 10th and 11th. More than 22,000 hungry people strolled the winding streets of downtown Dillon enjoying the sites, sounds, smells and tastes of 79 teams from around the country competing for a variety of awards.
Carcass Cookers of Pueblo won the Grand Champion. They were awarded $2,500 in cash, a $2,300 Kingfisher Kountry Kooker and the unique Championship Buckle.
Our Reserve Grand Champion, was Quau (rhymes with luau) of Brimfield, IL.. They were awarded $1,500 in cash and the Reserve Grand Championship Buckle.

Birmingham, Ala. – The Southern Living BBQ on Tour is on the road again bringing the
South’s favorite magazine to its readers. Check out the Top 10 tour schedule
below to see when the tour will be in a city near you.
At these Top 10 tour stops Southern Living will provide visitors with free cooking
demonstrations, food sampling, and of course delicious recipes to take home and
try out in their own kitchens.
“We know our readers love to interact with the magazine, and
this tour gives them the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal while
learning some of the best tricks of the trade from our BBQ expert Troy Black,” said Southern Living Programs Director Krislin Smith. “Our readers also
love recipes, and they won’t leave empty-handed when they visit the tour.”
